About Us

History of Villanova Alpha Phi

The Eta Epsilon chapter of Alpha Phi at Villanova University, founded in 1987, is a community of women dedicated to fostering sisterhood, leadership, and service. Our six values are rooted in sisterhood, service, scholarship, leadership, loyalty, and character. We strive to create an environment where members can grow personally and academically while making a meaningful impact on campus and beyond. Our philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation, focuses on advancing women’s heart health, and we proudly host events throughout the year to raise awareness and funds for this cause. Whether through academic support, campus involvement, or lifelong friendships, Alpha Phi at Villanova offers its members a supportive network committed to inspiring one another and making a difference

Purpose of our Fraternity

"The objectives of our Fraternity are the promotion of growth in character; unity of feeling, sisterly affection, and social communion among our members... We have banded ourselves together to improve our minds and hearts, and we seek to aid each other through a constant watchcare always given in love. We believe ourselves to be sincere searchers for truth. We seek the highest ideal of womanhood, and we try to gain this ideal by cultivating not only the power and passion for seeking intellectual development but, also, the spirit of love and charity. And we who are thus united are under a solemn pledge to lend a helping hand to one another."
