Alpha Phi Foundation
At Alpha Phi, our philanthropic focus is women’s heart health. The Alpha Phi Foundation was established in 1956 with the intention of awarding scholarships and promoting cardiac aid. At this time, Alpha Phi was one of the first women’s fraternities to establish a Foundation. Our Eta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi at Villanova University is committed to passionately supporting the Alpha Phi Foundation through numerous philanthropy events throughout the year.

Red Dress Gala
Every February, we host our most loved event of the year – Red Dress Gala! Dressed in red, our sisters are joined by our family and friends at a beautiful brunch to support and raise awareness for our philanthropy. This event is also accompanied by a silent and live auction, and speeches about our personal connections to women’s heart health.
This year, our Red Dress Gala raised over $44,000 in support of our philanthropy! Red Dress Gala is such an important event to our chapter as we get to come together with our loved ones to support a philanthropy so close to our hearts.

Mr. Heartthrob
Mr. Heartthrob is hosted every February during Heart Health Week. At this event, Villanova’s fraternities and clubs are invited to select one representative to compete for the title of “Mr. Heartthrob”. All representatives perform an act and answer questions asked by Alpha Phi members to gain audience popularity!
The representative who raises the most money for women’s heart health is crowned “Mr. Heartthrob” for the year. The community joins together for this exciting event in support of women’s heart health!

Tackling the Stigma & More!
During the Fall, Alpha Phi hosts Tackling the Stigma. Tackling the Stigma is our annual flag football tournament that takes place on Sheehan Beach. Everyone is invited to create a team for this fun event! This tournament is a fundraiser for men's mental health, a very important cause for our chapter.
As a chapter we also host different small fundraising events throughout the year such as "Pie-A-Phi" to push fundraising efforts further.
