Advice from a Sister

My transition from high school to college during my first semester at Villanova was incredibly challenging. I struggled to connect with people and felt like I hadn’t come from the same backgrounds or lifestyles as many of my peers. That sense of isolation made it hard to find meaningful connections, and I often felt like I didn’t fit in beyond a surface level. This feeling of loneliness was a big reason why I decided to go through primary recruitment during my second semester.

Looking back, I’m so grateful I made that decision. Going through recruitment opened up my entire Villanova experience. I met so many amazing people and ultimately found my home in Alpha Phi. My time in Alpha Phi has been truly transformative. I’ve found lifelong friends, future roommates, and the most incredible group of role models. Some of the most pivotal and joyful moments of my college journey have been because of Alpha Phi, and it’s hard to believe it’s all coming to an end soon.

As a senior, my biggest piece of advice to potential new members is to cherish your time throughout the recruitment process and in whichever sorority you choose, it all goes by so fast. And remember to always be the most authentic version of yourself throughout the process.   <3

All My Best,
